Nicholas Munyan-Penney is a research intern at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education policy at The George Washington University. He also has a MAT in secondary english education from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and a bachelor's degree in English from Emerson College. While at SNHU, Nicholas researched integration of LGBT texts in English language arts classrooms. Before moving to Washington, D.C., Nicholas taught high school English in New Hampshire in both charter and traditional public schools. His research interests include school choice and teacher quality and preparation.
